Question: This morning, I plugged my SD card from my Cannon digital camera into my Dell
laptop for backing up some newly taken pictures. But, it asked me if I want to
“format” this SD card. Not knowing what was going on, I clicked “OK”. After a
while, I finally realized that I had deleted all these photos by the
formatting. What had I done? Is there a way to unformat this SD card? If you
know anything about it, please let me know! Thank you in advance!
With
the advent of information era, many users have gone through the same upset
experience of formatting the memory card of digital camera like Marcylooke did. There are also users formatting
their computer hard drives, USB flash drives, memory sticks and other devices
and then regretting doing so. What if you happen to be one of them? What would
you do to recover lost photos after formatting?
When
you realize you have deleted all photos in your memory card by formatting, you
should stop using that memory card immediately! Or you should pull out the
memory card in case that somebody else may carry out any operation. The reason for
doing so is that as long as your memory card is not overwritten, there is a possibility
for you to unformat the memory card.
